Bottom Painting done right!
If you are keeping your vessel in the water for extended periods of time, don't neglect what you can't see. Electrolysis causes barnacle growth under the water on your beautiful gelcoat. Not only does it look and smell horrible, but it also creates drag which is slowing you down and killing your gas mileage. We use a two part epoxy primer that is built up in two protective coats and shrinks around the area to create not only a protective surface but also a barrier. On top of that, we put two coats of antifouling ablative paint with or without copper depending of the surface that will slowly diminish and self clean over time to prevent barnacle growth and keep your vessel running smooth for years to come.
Pricing
Fiberglass boats for a first time coating start at $95/ft.
Pontoon boats for a first time coating start at $105/ft.
We use copper free HRT ECO paint so there is no corrosive reaction between the aluminum and the copper.
Recoating prices will be based on the condition of the pre-existing coating. Factors include barnacle growth where scraping is needed and if areas need to be primed due to low spots in the old coating.
Different colors such as white and grey only come in specific brands and will have an additional cost as well as any requested upgrade in the paint used.
Drop off
Can be brought by water or trailer. There is a one time fee for removing the boat from the water or trailer to be put on a rack to perform the work. Most jobs are completed within 3 days.
Customer responsibility
Boats will need a scum line to determine the correct tape line for the paint.
